Add a Hostlink Driver

Use a HOSTLINK driver when communicating Host Link to any Omron PLC that supports HostLink Serial Protocol.

Creating the Driver

· Click Edit | Comm Settings… from the menu

· From the Supported Drivers
- select –
Host Link Driver

· Click Add…

· Enter a Driver Name for the Hostlink driver.

HOSTLINK_1
Click Ok

· Enter the Comm Port settings

· Select the Com Port (COM1:-COM32)

· Select the Baud Rate (300-1152000)
9600 is the default for most Omron Hostlink PLC’s

· Select the Parity (None, Even, Odd)
Even is the default for most Omron Hostlink PLC’s

· Select the Data Bits (7 or 8)
7 is the default for most Omron Hostlink PLC’s

· Select the Stop Bits (1 or 2)
2 is the default for most Omron Hostlink PLC’s

· Click Ok
